What is it?
SkinPen microneedling (also known as collagen induction therapy) is a treatment used to smooth texture in the skin. The sterile needle cartridge contains 12 tiny needs that puncture the skin triggering the skin's response to heal itself. This stimulates collagen production.

Who is a candidate?
Anyone with fine lines, acne scarring, enlarged pores, or wanting to do a results driven skin treatment. Patients with active acne are not a candidate.

Is there downtime?
The skin will appear flushed immediately after treatment. Expect a "sunburn" like appearance for 1-3 days post treatment. Dryness and flaking may also occur.

How many treatments?
3-6 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart is recommended. 3 treatments per year is recommended as maintenance.

Aftercare
We recommend using a clean pillowcase, bath towel, and cleaning any makeup brushes. Avoid direct sunlight (sunbathing), tanning beds, saunas, and intense work outs for 5-7 days after treatment.
